Learning with real objects — like die Tür (door), das Fenster (window), der Tisch (table) — helps you remember faster and speak more confidently. Two Simple Tips to Make German Words Stick
1. Repeat, Write, and Say Your German Out Loud🗣️
Don’t just listen! Write new words in your notebook, add their translations, and say them aloud—“loudly and proudly,” as I like to put it. This approach helps you remember and pronounce vocabulary correctly, turning passive knowledge into an active skill. For example, next time you see a “Tisch” (table)—pronounce it out loud.
2. Practice Both Directions↔️
Go beyond German-to-English flashcards. Try translating both directions until the words come naturally. In the lesson, you’ll hear me prompt you to respond in German — an easy but effective memory boost.
💡 Bonus tip: In Austria, people often say “Sessel” for “chair,” while in Germany, it’s “Stuhl.” Learning both gives you confidence wherever you go.
